Matt Ponticiello is a senior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences majoring in Global
and Public Health Sciences with a minor in international development studies. Matt is most
interested in applying anthropological perspectives to public health in order to develop
culturally concordant interventions. Through the Global Citizenship and Sustainability Program
in Long Lamai, Malaysia Matt conducted community-based participatory research in January
2020 on cultural resilience and sustainability with the Penan, a formerly nomadic indigenous
community. Contact Matt at mp827@cornell.edu
