Cornell Technology Business Network presents the July 2021 Forum.
Supply chain disruption! Over the
past 18 months, we've all experienced them in our daily lives: from toilet
paper, to PPP, oil by-products, industrial chemicals, IC chips, pharma
supplies, fuel supplies and even restaurant workers. Soon, some think we'll see
the consequence of low supplies: inflationary pricing.
While Edwards Deming's TQA and Taiichi Ohno's "Just In
Time" inventory management were the craft tools post WW-II, Supply Chain
Management (SCM) recently has been operating within the context of more
frequent disruptions, vastly complicated global networks, multi-layered
regulation, taxation, security and traceability with faster and more fragmented
direct-to-consumer deliveries.
Today, effective supply chain strategies and operations are a make
or break proposition for executives in nearly every industry. What's the
answer? Jamie Hintlian,
COO of the Leavitt Corporation,
will introduce “Supply Chain Agility – New Trends and Tech to Align
Volatile Supply & Demand.”
