We will go through infectious disease modeling basics such as SIR
models, Reproduction Ratio and Herd Immunity and examples of several
models. On two subsequent Fridays, lectures will focus on discussing
COVID-19 models which are used for decision making
today. In each of these two lectures, models will be introduced, the
purpose of the model and major assumptions will be discussed and a short
demonstration given.
