Saara Khan is a senior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global and Public Health
Sciences with a minor in Infectious Disease Biology. She is passionate about maternal and child
health and nutrition, as well as disparities in health. Through the virtual Global Health Summer
Program in Mysore, India, Saara worked with the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement
(SVYM) and did research to design a manual for an inclusive-sensory motor playground for

Shalini Gundamraj is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Biology and
Society and minoring in Global Health. She is passionate about exploring and alleviating health
inequities in the United States and internationally. Through the virtual Global Health Summer
Program in Mysore, India, Shalini worked with the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement
(SVYM) through the Vivekananda Memorial Hospital to develop a booklet resource for persons
