Anna Nakagama is a junior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global and Public Health Sciences and minoring in Human Development. She is passionate about equitable healthcare for all, maternal healthcare, and communicable diseases. Through the Global Health Summer Program in New York City, with Weill Cornell Clinical and Translational Science Center, Anna assisted at COVID-19 vaccination sites in underserved communities and trained community members on the opioid epidemic and how to use Naloxone. Danielle Wu is a senior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global Public Health Sciences. She is passionate about global health epidemiology and health equity. Through the Global Health summer program with Weill Cornell Clinical and Translational Science Center, Danielle assisted at COVID-19 vaccination sites for underserved New York city communities. She also worked with the Opioid Overdose Prevention Program conducting Naloxone training sessions, educating communities on the current opioid epidemic and distributing free Naloxone kits. Alexis Reinhardt is a junior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global and Public Health Sciences and minoring in Business. She is passionate about global health, maternal health, infectious diseases, and athletics. Through the Global Health Summer Program in New York City with Weill Cornell Clinical and Translational Science center, Alexis worked with the CTSC to increase access to the COVID- 19 vaccine within underserved communities as well as completed a training to administer Naloxone, an overdose reversal drug, and distributed the Naloxone kits to members of the community in an effort to fight the Opioid Epidemic.
