The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has had a dramatic impact on the world of healthcare for America since its implementation. Specifically for large employers, HR practitioners are increasingly evaluating and focusing on the potential costs, policy and program designs, and the impact on the workforce. To develop a deeper understanding of these concerns and identify alternatives and best practices for dealing with these concerns, we at CAHRS have been conducting a benchmarking study with partner companies. To date, we have interviewed or are scheduled to interview Compensation and Benefits leaders from approximately 30 companies to study how the ACA has affected health insurance policies, the HR function, and HR strategy.
In this webcast, CAHRS RA Max Spivak, shares the results of this benchmarking study. He will provide an overview of the study findings, including a summary of top concerns, options and strategies for addressing these concerns, change and communication strategies, and long-term potential policy issues and solutions. The webcast is intended to be interactive and there will be multiple points throughout the session where Max will address questions submitted by webcast participants.
Chris Collins, HRS Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS), Cornell University, ILR School will serve as moderator for this webcast.
