Rahul Verma is a junior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global and Public Health Sciences, minoring in Inequality Studies (on the Health Equity track). Within public health, his interests lie in epidemiology and health equity. At the moment, he conducts research on campus in the FIG lab, which focuses on nutrition and health equity through systematic research and health policy analysis. Over the summer, Rahul conducted an independent research project under the supervision of Dr. Kala Mehta to identify and evaluate research related to institutional programs that exist in the status quo to improve the retention of underrepresented minority (URM) populations in pre-med and pre-health pathways.
