Rev, Ithaca's downtown business incubator, encourages local high school students like Jasper White and Hunter Hartshorne to develop their innovative engineering ideas through its summer Hardware Accelerator Program. Brian Bauer, an entrepreneur-in-residence at Rev, gave White and Hartshorne insights and support for their product idea, a micro hydroelectric generator for backpacking and camping.
Rev is a partnership among Cornell University, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College, with support from New York State's Regional Economic Development Council.
