In light of the current political, environmental, and systemic
stressors, it is imperative to identify and accurately conceptualize the
struggles of minoritized communities. Accordingly, this presentation utilizes
socio-cultural trauma as a guiding framework. This presentation suggests ways
to prioritize the healing and mental health of marginalized groups. Likewise,
it aims to center the experiences of these individuals and highlight their
resiliency, as well as promote self-reflection and instill hope.
