Simran Surtani is a senior in the College of Human Ecology majoring in Global and Public Health Sciences, with minors in Inequality Studies, Law and Society, and Crime, Prisons, Education, and Justice. She is passionate about health equity, health policy, and addressing health disparities, specifically in low-income and incarcerated populations. Through her ELO with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), Simran was able to explore the food environment and food purchasing practices of young parents in Nairobi, Kenya.
