Multidisciplinary Design refers to design projects in which multiple teams, typically with
different disciplines or expertise, design different subsystems of an overall system.
Usually, coordination among the teams is important, and often is facilitated through the
formulation of specifications, requirements, or constraints. There have been proposals
to pursue coordination through the formulation of objectives for the subsystem teams,
that is, to make design value driven. In this context, we propose and study an iterative
scheme for guiding the design process toward an optimal design.
