In this video, we hear from David Orr, P.E., Ph.D. ’05, BS ’87, Director/Senior Engineer of the Cornell Local Roads Program (LRP).  David explains how the Cornell LRP, in conjunction with the national Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), works with state and local governments to improve local roads.  Since local agencies are often short-staffed, these entities need technical assistance and training to maintain and improve their road networks.  Challenges include stretching maintenance dollars, improving safety, and workforce development.
