Any information technology solution will exist to support a business function, which is broken down into discrete business processes. In order for a solution to properly support these business processes, it is important to identify what they all are, how they interact with each other, what information flows into and out of the process, and how the process uses that information and the actions it takes on that information. This is all documented in the Business Process Model. Guest speakers Michael Swenson and Diane Kubarek present their experience modeling the Procurement process for the College of Business.
