Author Paul McEuen and mycologist Kathie Hodge discuss "Spiral"

Physics professor Paul McEuen shared his process of writing his debut novel, "Spiral", in Schwartz Auditorium April 6. The techno-thriller, set on Cornell's Ithaca campus, is about a fungal organism that's the key to a terrible biological weapon dating back to World War II. McEuen read a brief excerpt from his book and discussed the project on stage with mycologist Kathie Hodge, who worked extensively with him on the fungous details for "Spiral."
