In conjunction with the exhibition Kunié Sugiura: Discoveries,
her second survey exhibition at a US museum in a career that spans
sixty years, artist Kunié Sugiura discusses her work in conversation
with Ellen Avril, chief curator and Stoikov Curator of Asian Art, and
Molly Kalkstein, Gary and Ellen Davis Curator of Photography.
This talk was supported by the Stoikov Asian Art Lecture
Fund at the Johnson Museum, which was funded by a generous gift from
Judith Stoikov, Class of 1963, and made possible in part by the New York
State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the
Governor and the New York State Legislature.
