Organizations are increasingly looking to increase organic growth through new products and services, but companies have often found that consistently and sustainably driving innovation is a large challenge. To help build insight on this topic, CAHRS set up a research project to determine key organizational drivers and inhibitors of successful innovation. As part of this benchmarking research project, CAHRS research assistants are interviewing HR and Line leaders to gather data on the role that HR can play to effectively manage human capital, knowledge flows, and employee motivation to positively impact the key drivers of innovation and help to remove or reduce barriers that get in the way of innovation.
In this webcast, CAHRS RAs Lindsay March and Catherine (Kate) Guydan discuss the results of the interviews as they relate to organizational and HR support for innovation. They will share specific examples as they relate to:
· Recent innovations and catalysts for innovation
· Obstacles to innovation and knowledge sharing
· HR’s role in driving the right people outcomes to support the organizational culture, human capital, and knowledge exchange opportunities that support sustainable innovation
· What talent management practices or priorities HR supports to help drive new innovation.
· As with all of our webcasts, the CAHRS RAs will also take time to address questions and comments submitted by participants.
