In this session we covered information about the Nexus Scholars Program for undergraduates in the College of Arts and Science. The program matches undergraduate students to work with faculty mentors in the humanities, social sciences, and STEM fields to get a first look at research. In this presentation we went over the program, application process, and heard from a few scholars in this past summer's inaugural cohort to learn about the students program.
Students from last year's cohort that participated in the panel were:
- Shelby Lynn Williams, Class of 2025, Government, proposed and mentored by Dr. Julilily Kohler-Hausman
- Ricco Cabral Venterea, Class of 2025, Astronomy, proposed and mentored by Dr. Nicholas Battaglia
- Elizaveta Zabelina, Class of 2024, College Scholars Program, applied and matched with Dr. Tara Holm
